Guide · How to fix
Add a single, descriptive H1
The H1 is the page's main heading: it tells Google and AI what the page is about. You need one — and only one.
Step by step
- 1
Pick a clear H1 that summarises the content, with the main keyword (often close to the title but not identical).
- 2
Depending on your tool: the “Heading 1” block in the editor, or the <h1> tag in code.
- 3
Don't set the logo or site name as the H1 on every page: the H1 must be page-specific.
- 4
Make sure there's only one H1 per page.
Generalist method: adapt “depending on your tool” (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or directly in code).
